Bobcat Volleyball Wraps Season on Road

The Montana State volleyball team will play its last two matches of the 2015 season on the road this weekend. The Bobcats will face Weber State on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m., before making the trek up I-15/90 to Missoula. The annual Brawl of the Wild match at Montana will be held Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the West Auxiliary Gym.
FINAL WEEKEND OF PLAY:
The Montana State volleyball team will play its last two matches of the 2015 season on the road this weekend. The Bobcats will face Weber State on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m., before making the trek up I-15/90 to Missoula. The annual Brawl of the Wild match at Montana will be held Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the West Auxiliary Gym.
BRAWL OF THE WILD:
The Cat-Griz rivalry is one of the best in college athletics. Montana State and Montana have teamed up along with Learfield Sports for a year-long rivalry series between the two institutions. The Brawl of the Wild Series will operate on a point system in which each school can earn a maximum 17 points per based on head-to-head competition. Heading into Saturday's match, Montana State leads 2-1 with victories in volleyball and women's cross country.

Montana State fell to Northern Colorado as the Bears rallied for a 25-19, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 15-13 win, Saturday night in Shroyer Gym. Natalie Passeck notched a match-high 20 kills, while Alex Rader added a career-high 13 kills and Chase Doughty 12. Katie Harrington recorded her second double-double of the season with 49 assists and 15 digs. Montana State dropped a 25-23, 25-23, 18-25, 25-23 decision to North Dakota on Friday evening. Three Bobcats recorded double-digit kills led by Natalee Godfrey, 15, and Passeck and Doughty with 13 apiece. Defensively, Kasey Altman led MSU with 19 digs.
BOBCAT PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Senior Natalee Godfrey was once again named Montana State's Player of the Week for her efforts against North Dakota and Northern Colorado. The Eugene, Oregon product averaged 2.62 kills and 1.00 blocks per set, while hitting .281 from the field. She had her best outing of the weekend against UND with 15 kills, a .387 attack mark, three digs, three blocks and two service aces.
