Cats Conclude Big Sky Play, Face UNC in Tourney Opener

The Bobcats enter Big Sky Tournament action as the No. 6 seed, and will face No. 3 seed and host Northern Colorado, Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. in Bank of Colorado Arena.
Montana State struggled to find its offensive rhythm dropping a 25-15, 27-25, 25-12 decision to Weber State on the final day of Big Sky Conference play for both clubs Friday night in Swenson Gym.
Montana State (13-14, 8-8) hit a season low .078 from the floor, while Weber State (17-11, 9-7) posted a .320 attack mark. Sophomore outside hitter Karli Heidemann led MSU with 13 kills, while adding eight digs, two blocks and an ace. Senior libero Lauren Lindseth anchored the back row with 15 digs.

Other first round tournament matches include No. 4 Weber State vs. No. 5 Montana at 10 a.m., No. 1 Northern Arizona vs. No. 8 Idaho State at 1 p.m., and No. 2 Sacramento State vs. No. 7 Portland State at 4 p.m.
