For the first time this season, the Montana State volleyball team will be home for the second consecutive weekend. MSU hosts Big Sky-leading Eastern Washington on Thursday, Oct. 15, before hosting the University of Idaho, Saturday, Oct. 17 in Shroyer Gym. Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.
HOME SWEET HOME:

Montana State middle blocker Natalee Godfrey had one of the best hitting efforts in Bobcat volleyball history, but it wasn't enough to stop Southern Utah's high-octane offense as the Thunderbirds roared past MSU 25-21, 25-19, 25-19, Thursday night in Shroyer Gym. Aside from Godfrey's effort, also in double-figure kills for Montana State were Loni Kreun and Natalie Passeck with 12 and ten kills, respectively. Passeck, a freshman from Parker, Colorado, recorded her team-leading sixth double-double of the season by adding ten digs. Defensively, the Bobcats were paced by Kasey Altman with 14 saves. Senior setter Katie Harrington dished out 43 assists. Northern Arizona put up a solid block and out-hit Montana State .261 to .051, en route to a 25-20, 25-23, 25-20 win over the Bobcats, Saturday afternoon in Shroyer Gym. Northern Arizona out-blocked Montana State 16 to 4 and committed 17 fewer hitting errors in the victory. Loni Kreun and Natalee Godfrey paced the Bobcat attack with eight kills, apiece, while Chase Doughty and Alexandra Rader added four. Defensively, MSU was led by libero Kasey Altman with a match-high 18 digs. Godfrey and Rader also had a team-best two blocks.
BOBCAT PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Senior middle blocker Natalee Godfrey was named Bobcat Player of the Week for her efforts against Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, last weekend in Shroyer Gym. The Eugene, Oregon product had one of the best hitting nights in Montana State history on Thursday with a .750 attack mark. Godfrey recorded 12 kills on 16 attempts with no errors. She narrowly missed the school mark of .824 (14-0-17) set by Cori Carper against Virginia Commonwealth, Aug. 31, 1996. For the weekend, Godfrey averaged 3.33 kills with a .412 attack mark. She also added three blocks and a dig.
