For the third consecutive weekend the Montana State volleyball squad will play in a non-conference tournament on the road.

MCM ELEGANTE LOBO INVITATIONAL:
For the third consecutive weekend the Montana State volleyball squad will play in a non-conference tournament on the road. This weekend, the Bobcat spikers will play in the University of New Mexico MCM Elegante Lobo Invitational in Albuquerque. MSU will face New Mexico on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m., in the Johnson Center. The Bobcats will conclude play on Saturday against UC Irvine at 10:30 a.m., followed by Bethune-Cookman at 5 p.m. For live stats and for live streaming information, visit www.golobos.com.
'CAT CHAT:
The Bobcats went 1-2 at the Gonzaga Invitational last weekend in Spokane, Washington. Playing without its top two offensive players (Kennadie Clute and Natalee Godfrey) from last season, MSU opened with a 24-26, 22-25, 25-22, 25-18, 15-13 come-from-behind victory over Canisius. MSU was led by Cassie Krueger with a career-high 16 kills, while true-freshman Jolie Meade added 14 kills and a team-best five blocks. On Saturday, the Bobcats dropped a 3-2 decision to Grand Canyon. Montana State had four players in double-digit kills, including Loni Kreun 13, and Meade, Eli Svisco and Zoe Gogan with 11 kills, each. Defensively, Kasey Schlatter paced MSU with 15 digs. In the tournament night-cap, Gonzaga handed MSU a 3-0 setback. The Bobcats were led by Svisco with eight kills and five digs.
SCOUTING THE UNM INVITATIONAL:
The Bobcats will open against New Mexico on Friday night. The Lobos are 2-4 on the season, after going 0-3 last weekend, including a 3-1 loss to No. 20 Hawai'i. UNM is led by Chantale Riddle, who is averaging 2.90 kills, 1.90 digs and 1.60 blocks per set. UC Irvine is 4-3 overall as the Anteaters have won four of its last five matches, including a 3-1 decision over Big Sky Conference newcomer Idaho. UCI is guided by Marisa Bubica, Cassidy Pickrell and Allison Lee, who average 4.04, 3.48 and 3.24 kills per contest. MSU's final opponent is Bethune-Cookman. B-CU is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Wildcats are currently 0-7 overall, after dropping matches at Jacksonville, Florida Atlantic and North Florida last week. B-CU is led by Rhea Simon, who averages 3.68 kills and 2.04 digs per set.
