The Montana State volleyball team will travel northwest on I-90 with a stop in Missoula to compete in the University of Montana Farmers State Bank Invitational, Sept. 13-14.
MISSOULA BOUND:
The Montana State volleyball team will travel northwest on I-90 with a stop in Missoula to compete in the University of Montana Farmers State Bank Invitational, Sept. 13-14. The Bobcats will not face the Grizzlies in tournament action, but will square off against UTEP on Friday at 4 p.m., followed with a tilt against Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday at 10 a.m. Both matches will be played in Dahlberg Arena. Following this weekend's play, MSU will open its home season when it hosts Seattle University in non-conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. in Shroyer Gym.

SIDE OUTS:
* MSU went 1-2 at the Loyola Chicago Hampton Inn Rambler Challenge, last weekend
* The Cats win was a 3-1 decision over Loyola Maryland (25-19, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18)
* Montana State trails UTEP 2-1 in the all-time series going back to the 1992 season
* MSU last defeated the Miners 3-2 on Sept. 12, 2009 at the Bradley Tournament
