The Bobcats will open its Big Sky Conference road season in Greeley, Colorado on Thursday night as it faces Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. in the Bank of Colorado Arena.

BIG SKY CONFERENCE ROAD OPENER:
The Bobcats will open its Big Sky Conference road season in Greeley, Colorado on Thursday night as it faces Northern Colorado at 7 p.m. in the Bank of Colorado Arena. Montana State will close out the weekend in Grand Forks, North Dakota on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. (MDT) when it faces the University of North Dakota in the Betty Englestad Sioux Center. Both matches will be webcast at WatchBigSky.com.

MONTANA STATE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Freshman Natalie Passeck paced Montana State as the Bobcats snapped a nine-match home losing streak to Montana on Saturday night. Passeck posted a team-high 15 kills, while hitting .225 and adding six digs. On Thursday, against Big Sky preseason favorite Idaho State, she recorded a double-double with ten kills and ten digs. On the weekend, the Parker, Colorado product averaged 3.57 kills and 2.29 digs per set. For her efforts, Passeck was named Montana State Player of the Week.

GOOD GODFREY:
Senior middle blocker Natalee Godfrey, who arguably is one of the top players in the Big Sky Conference hitting behind the setter, has continued her strong play from last season. Godfrey garnered Second-Team All-Big Sky Conference accolades after averaging 2.82 kills, while hitting .342 from the field. In addition, the Eugene, Oregon product added 33 blocks playing 66 sets out of 96 for the Bobcats. This season, Godfrey is averaging 2.29 kills with a .218 attack mark and 28 total blocks.

700/500 CLUB:
Senior Eli Svisco became a member of Montana State's 700/500 club two weeks ago. The product of Castle Rock, Colorado has recorded 702 career kills and 542 career digs. Currently, the 6-foot outside hitter, is averaging 2.00 kills and has recorded a 27 total blocks.

HELLO, MY NAME IS:
A lot of new faces will dot the Big Sky Conference volleyball landscape this season. Montana State head coach JJ Riley is one of six new coaches taking over league programs. Joining Riley are Brian Doyon, Montana, Jeremiah Larsen, Weber State, Craig Choate, Southern Utah, Rick Reynolds, Idaho State, and Michael King, who will serve as interim head coach at Eastern Washington this fall.
