Freshmen Chase Doughty and Natalie Passeck accounted for half of Montana State kills against Idaho on Thursday night, but is wasn't enough as the Vandals swept the Bobcats 25-19, 25-18, 25-12 in Memorial Gym.

Doughty, a product of Pleasant View, Utah, led Montana State with a team-high nine kills, while Passeck added six winners. Junior Alexandra Rader chipped in six kills as well as a team-best .308 attack mark.

Defensively, libero Kasey Altman guided the Bobcats with ten digs, while Doughty led MSU at the net with a team-high three blocks.

"Idaho is a good team," Riley added. "They have a lot of weapons and we had trouble containing them all."

The Vandals were led in the win by Katelyn Peterson with 12 kills and nine digs.

Montana State will play at Eastern Washington, Friday night in Cheney.
