The Montana State volleyball squad is halfway through its four match road swing and will make stops at Idaho and Eastern Washington this weekend.

The Montana State volleyball squad is halfway through its four match road swing and will make stops at Idaho and Eastern Washington this weekend. MSU opens play on Thursday, Oct. 29 at the University of Idaho in Moscow, beginning at 8 p.m. (MDT) in Memorial Gym. The Bobcats will complete weekend play on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. (MDT) at Eastern Washington University in Reese Court, Cheney, Washington.

Despite a career-high 21 kills from freshman Natalie Passeck the Montana State volleyball squad dropped a hard-fought 22-25, 25-23, 34-32, 25-19 decision to Portland State, Saturday night in the Stott Center. Passeck, a product of Parker, Colorado, posted her team-leading seventh double-double of the year adding 11 digs in the loss. Also in double-digit kills for the Bobcats was Godfrey with ten winners, while hitting .261 from the field and adding a season-high eight blocks. Montana State had a season-high 14.5 team blocks. Also contributing for MSU at the net were Katie Harrington with six blocks and Alexandra Rader and Kiana Black with four, apiece. Defensively, the Bobcats were led by Kasey Altman and Dana Vestman with 21 and 18 digs, respectively. Sacramento State out-hit Montana State .467 to .038, en route to a 25-15, 25-7, 25-12 win over the Bobcats, Thursday night in Hornet Gym. Montana State struggled to find any offense and were led by Passeck and Godfrey with four kills, apiece. In total, MSU mustered just 15 kills over the course of the match.
BOBCAT PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Natalie Passeck averaged 3.57 kills and 2.00 digs over the weekend, while hitting .323 from the field- her best weekend of the season, en route to being named Montana State Player of the Week. In Montana State's 3-1 loss at Portland State, the product of Parker, Colorado notched a career-high 21 kills, while adding 11 digs for her team-leading seventh double-double of the year. For the match, Passeck produced a .419 (21-3-43) attack mark. On Thursday night at Sacramento State, she recorded four kills and three digs. Passeck is averaging a team-high 2.91 kills per set in Big Sky Conference action.
