IUPUI out-hit the Montana State volleyball team .311 to .085 in the opening match of the Morehead State/Comfort Inn and Suites Invitational to cruise to a straight set 25-11, 25-11, 25-22 victory, Friday afternoon in Wetherby Gym.

It wasn't the start they were looking.

IUPUI out-hit the Montana State volleyball team .311 to .085 in the opening match of the Morehead State/Comfort Inn and Suites Invitational to cruise to a straight set 25-11, 25-11, 25-22 victory, Friday afternoon in Wetherby Gym.

"IUPUI did a great job slowing down our left and right side attack," said second-year Bobcat head coach Kyle Weindel. "We were unable to score points from those positions. We really struggled offensively by not scoring and our consistency troubles continued."

Montana State (1-4) was paced by freshman Kennadie Clute, who posted her third double-double of the season with 11 kills and ten digs. Also in double-figure digs were Nicole Baker 12 and Loni Kreun 10. Freshman Anna Sykora dished out 17 assists and added eight digs.

IUPUI (2-3) was led by Moriah Fair with 14 kills and 10 digs.

MSU will face Saint Louis and Morehead State on Saturday.
