Clute had the best freshman campaign in Montana State history posting 513 kills, the second most ever recorded at MSU in a single-season…for her efforts, the Spokane product was named Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year…garnered All-Big Sky Conference honorable mention kudos…was the top freshmen kill leader in NCAA Division I and was 18th overall at 4.38 kps…led Big Sky Conference in kills and was the only player averaging over 4.00 kills per set for the entire season…was the top points scorer in the Big Sky Conference, averaging 4.79 ppg, which also ranked 25th in the nation…played in all 31 matches and 117 sets…was in double-figure kills in 30 of 31 matches…posted career-high 31 kills in MSU’s upset of Northern Arizona…had six matches with 20 or more kills…was second on team with 22 service aces…had season best six aces at Portland State…recorded ten matches with double-figure digs, including career-high 13 digs on two occasions…notched 46 total blocks…posted season-high five blocks against North Dakota…hit .149 on the season with best attack mark of .360 (25-7-50) in Montana State’s win over Stetson…notched ten double-doubles on the season, including six in Big Sky Conference play.
HIGH SCHOOL: Clute, prepped at Mt. Spokane High School, played club ball for the Sideout Volleyball squad. At Mt. Spokane, she has helped the Wildcats to a 75-16 overall mark, including an 18-4 record this fall. Clute holds the school record with 935 kills, including a single-match 29 kills. As a senior, she is averaged 5.24 kills per set. An all-state and Greater Spokane League all-conference honoree, Clute posted 585 career digs, as well. An outstanding all-around athlete, she lettered four times in track and three years in basketball.
PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Troy and Karri Clute.
