The 6-2 native of Carson City, Nevada averaged 1.86 kills and 1.00 blocks per set, while hitting .237 from the field. She had her best outing of the weekend at Sacramento State on Saturday, recording eight kills, a .412 (8-1-17) attack mark, four blocks and a dig.

Northern Colorado is 8-8 overall and 2-3 in Big Sky Conference play after dropping a 3-2 decision at Northern Arizona on Saturday in its only match of the week. This season, the Bears are 6-2 on its home court and 1-5 in away matches. Against NAU, Kailey Jo Ince and Rachel Hickman each totaled 21 kills as the Bears hit an impressive .254 from the floor. Libero Michaela Boon notched 34 digs in the loss. Northern Arizona is 2-10 overall and 1-4 in Big Sky play after downing No. Colorado in five last Saturday. Against the Bears, Kylie Moran recorded 13 kills, and the Lumberjacks out-blocked UNC 16-8.

The Bobcats starting rotation includes four players from the Treasure State. In all, MSU has five athletes from its home turf on the roster. Starters include setter Audrey Hofer (Helena/Capital), middle blocker Jordan Radick (Bozeman), outside hitter Jordan Klein (Ennis) and libero Lauren Lindseth (Great Falls/CMR). The fifth player is defensive specialist Shayla Webber (Joliet).

CLIMBING THE LADDER:
As the MSU program continues to improve, its numbers within the Big Sky statistical categories have shown remarkable improvement, as well. In the 12 team statistical categories after the opening week of Big Sky action, the Cats rank among the top five in the league in seven categories, including #2 in digs (16.06), #3 in blocks (2.44), #4 in opponent hitting percentage (.181) and #5 in opponent service aces (1.39), kills (11.94), opponent kills (12.06) and assists (11.39).
TOOL TIME:
Junior outside hitter Kira Thomsen returned to the Bobcat rotation after missing 14 matches due to injury against Montana on Sept. 30. The Parker, Colorado product recorded 11 kills and a team-high 16 digs against Montana. Last weekend, Thomsen tallied 10 kills and 13 digs at Portland State and added eight saves in MSU's loss at Sacramento State. Last season, the Second Team All-Big Sky Conference pick recorded a career-high 26 kills against Northern Arizona at the league tournament. Earlier in the season, Thomsen notched a career-best 26 digs at Portland State. Last fall, she recorded 20 matches in double-figure kills, 13 in double-digit digs and had 12 double-doubles (k/d). Junior Emma Pence continues her assault on the Bobcat blocks records. The season, the product of Carson City, Nevada, has totaled 56 blocks, averaging 0.98 per set. Last fall, Pence was one of the top blockers in the nation averaging 1.34 blocks per set, which led the Big Sky and ranked 14th in the nation. Pence's 151 total blocks was tops in the league and seventh in the country. This season, she had recorded six total blocks on three occasions, the last coming against Eastern Washington on Sept. 22.

Jourdain Klein, a 6-1 outside hitter from Ennis, Mont., is averaging 2.06 kills and 1.11 blocks per set with a .222 attack mark in Big Sky Conference action. Three weeks ago, Klein averaged 3.29 kills and 1.29 blocks against Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado. Against the Eagles, Klein recorded 10 kills, a .308 attack mark and four blocks. Klein followed that performance with 13 kills, a .500 (13-2-22) attack mark and five blocks as the Bobcat defeated UNC in Greeley. Klein had ten kills and seven blocks in two matches last weekend at Portland State and Sacramento State. On the season, she has recorded seven matches with double-figure kills, and eight matches with four or more blocks.

Sophomore Jordan Radick tallied a career-high 15 kills against Montana on Sept. 30, while hitting a team-best .560 (15-1-25) from the field. In addition, she added five blocks and three digs against the Grizzlies. Last week, she pounded out 15 kills and added five blocks at Portland State and Sacramento State. The Bozeman High product opened league play three weeks ago, posting 13 kills (1.86 kps) and eleven blocks (1.57), while hitting .300 against Eastern Washington and Northern Colorado. Radick had her best outing against Northern Colorado posting 10 kills, a .333 attack mark and a season-high nine blocks. She has been in double-figure kills on four occasions and had notched six matches with four or more blocks. Radick was the 2021 Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year and a Second Team All-Big Sky pick.
THE DISH:
Sophomore setter Audrey Hofer handed out 52 assists, averaging 8.67 per set, while also chipping in 1.50 digs at Portland State and Sacramento State. On the season, Hofer is averaging 8.97 apg, which ranks sixth in the Big Sky and 129th in the country. She has also registered two double-doubles this fall and recorded a career-high six kills against Bryant University of Sept. 3.

Sophomore Courtney Weatherby has done an outstanding job on the outside for the Bobcats this fall. The native of Kuna, Idaho has played in 16 matches and 63 sets, averaging 2.14 kills and 2.40 digs per set. Weatherby recorded a career-high 20 kills against St. Thomas (MN) at the Bobcat Classic en route to being named to the all-tournament team. In all, she has been in double-digit kills on eight occasions, and double-figure digs nine times. She leads the Bobcats with seven double-doubles. Weatherby tallied a season-high 22 saves as the Bobcats defeated Fordham on Sept. 9. Weatherby has also done a fantastic job from the service line, leading the Bobcats with 18 aces. She posted three aces against Grand Canyon and Fordham. Against Northern Colorado, Weatherby registered a career-high three blocks, with one solo, and two block assists against the Bears. On Sept. 30, the native of Kuna, Idaho recorded 14 digs against Montana.
LINDSETH FAMILY LEGACY:
Montana State freshman libero Lauren Lindseth will be a part of Bobcat history as part of the first mother/daughter duo to play volleyball at MSU. Lindseth's mother - Kelly Modrow - played for the Blue and Gold from 1992-1996. The native of Minnetonka, Minnesota (Hopkins HS) played in 110 matches and 359 sets. In all, her career totals include: 889 kills, 733 digs, 128 blocks and 87 service aces wearing the No. 2 jersey. Like her mother, Lauren also dons the No. 2 uniform. Lindseth has played in all 17 matches and 69 sets this season as MSU's starting libero. On the season, she's totaled 247 digs, averaging 3.58 per contest. In Big Sky play, she is averaging 4.50 digs per set. Lindseth had been in double-digit saves on ten occasions, including a season and career-high 32 digs as the Bobcat upset Boise State 3-2 in Shroyer Gym on Sept. 15. Additionally, Lindseth is tied for first on the squad with 19 service aces, including a season-high two aces on six occasions. She's also dished out 40 assists.
