Meet the Cats: Freshman Jourdain Klein joins Bobcat Volleyball program

Former Ennis standout Jourdain Klein is set to begin her first season in the Blue & Gold.
MEET THE BOBCATS:
JOURDAIN KLEIN
6-1, Outside Hitter
Ennis, Montana
HIGH SCHOOL:
Klein prepped at Ennis High School where she helped guide the Mustangs to the Montana Class C State Tournament and a first-round win over Scobey...Ennis finished the season 22-5 overall...a three-time all-state selection, Klein posted 1,802 career kills, 540 career blocks and 248 career aces...during her tenure with the Mustangs, EHS posted an impressive 104-22 ledger...as a junior, the four-time all-conference performer helped Ennis to a state title...in addition to volleyball, Klein is a four-year letterwinner in basketball and track...off the court, she is a four-time all-state academic honoree and a four-time honor roll student.
COACH JONES SAYS...
"Jourdain Klein is a phenomenally gifted all-around athlete, She brings good size and will be a big block. We couldn't be more excited to be adding a Montana kid to our roster, especially as high-quality as Jourdain, who in my opinion is one of the best to come out of the state in recent times. I've known her since she was a freshman and she's developed very nicely. She comes from a great family and will be a good fit with our program."
PERSONAL:
She is the daughter of Jeff and Betty Klein. Betty Klein is the head volleyball coach at Ennis High School.
BOBCAT Q & A:
What was it during the recruiting process that eventually made you decide Montana State was where you wanted to play and continue your education? The coaching staff and the girls already on the team were so welcoming and such great people. They really helped make my decision final.
Bozeman is such a great volleyball community and MSU has consistently been at the top of the Big Sky Conference in attendance. What would you like to tell Bobcat Nation about yourself as a person and as a player? I'm a Montanan born and raised. I love Bozeman and the support they show for MSU. The crowds at volleyball games are awesome and a big crowd always gets me hyped.
Can you tell us a little bit about your family? My mom is a kindergarten teacher in Ennis and my dad manages a ranch. I have a younger sister that is going to be a sophomore this fall.
When you're not playing volleyball what do you like to do? I really like fishing, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and just being in the outdoors.
What is your hidden talent? I can play the violin.
What is your ultimate career goal? I hope to someday be a physical therapist.
Who is/are your role-model(s) and why? My parents are my role models because they are such hard workers and such amazing people.
What's the best thing you've experienced playing volleyball so far in your career? Getting to travel around and play against girls from all over the country.
What makes you laugh or smile? Good puns get me every time.
If you could trade places with anyone for 24-hours, who would it be and why? My dad because he has an awesome job.
What are you looking forward to the most at Montana State University? I'm really looking forward to living in Bozeman.
