Riley Completes Bobcat Volleyball Coaching Staff with Grandits Hire

Stephanie Grandits, who served as head volleyball coach at Forest Ridge High School in Bellevue, Washington, the past four seasons, has been named assistant volleyball coach at Montana State University, announced Bobcat Head Coach JJ Riley, Wednesday afternoon.
Grandits, who was a standout libero/defensive specialist at Washington State from 2005-08, guided her 2014 Ravens team to the Washington 1A State Tournament. For her efforts, she garnered Emerald City League Coach of the Year accolades.
"We are very excited to welcome Stephanie to our staff and program," MSU Volleyball Head Coach JJ Riley said. "Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having played in arguably the best volleyball conference in the country- the PAC-10, which is now the PAC-12."
At Washington State, Grandits was a four-year letterwinner and a three-time Pac 10 All-Academic selection. In addition, she was the most improved player for the Cougars in 2006.

Grandits also possesses a strong club volleyball background, having coached in both the Sudden Impact and Cascade programs in Washington. Outside of volleyball, she worked in private business, including serving as a certified personal fitness trainer.
Grandits earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sport management from Washington State in 2008. She has already started her duties at Montana State.
