Bobcats Finish 2015 Campaign in Missoula

The Montana State volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 decision to Montana to complete its 2015 season, Saturday night in the West Auxiliary Gym.
The Montana State volleyball team dropped a 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 decision to Montana to complete its 2015 season, Saturday night in the West Auxiliary Gym.
Freshman Natalie Passeck paced the Bobcats with a team-high nine kills, while senior setter Katie Harrington finished her career with 26 assists and 11 digs for her third double-double of the season.
Defensively, sophomore libero Kasey Altman guided MSU with 12 digs, while Kiana Black and Natalee Godfrey each added two blocks.
Montana out-hit the Bobcats in all three sets posting an overall .236 attack mark, while holding MSU to just .069 from the floor.
"Montana played well and we were playing very well at the start, but we weren't able to sustain it the whole night, unfortunately," said MSU head coach JJ Riley. "We are proud of their fight and they came in ready to compete."
The Grizzlies were led by Hannah Sackett with 20 kills and nine digs.
MSU will lose the services of three seniors- Godfrey, Harrington and Eli Svisco.
"We had a special group of seniors who were committed and dedicated to the program," Riley said. "It's a tough time right now for them as a big chapter is coming to a close. I wish we could have given them one more big win."
Montana State and Montana split its series in the Brawl of the Wild this fall.
