Montana State’s Godfrey Named Second-Team All-Big Sky Conference

“As a program, we’re extremely proud of Natalee,” MSU Assistant Coach Josh Pickard said. “She has worked hard in her time here at MSU; especially this last off-season and it is showing. Natalee has become a player that cannot be overlooked in the conference and is perhaps, the best middle in the Big Sky hitting behind the setter.”
Montana State junior middle blocker Natalee Godfrey garnered Second-Team All-Big Sky Conference honors, the league office announced on Wednesday. Godfrey was the only Bobcat to be honored this season.
The 6-1 product of Eugene, Oregon led the Bobcats in hitting percentage with a .342 attack mark. The number is also second best in the Big Sky Conference and 88th at the NCAA Division I level. For the season, Godfrey totaled 186 kills, averaging 2.82 per set. In addition, she recorded 33 total blocks.

For the season, Godfrey recorded nine double-figure kill matches and had 11 outings with a .300 attack mark or better.
Godfrey, who missed three weeks of action in early September with an ankle injury, flourished in the latter part of the season. From the beginning of October through MSU's final win over rival Montana on Nov. 15, Godfrey hit a hefty .381 from the field, while averaging 3.04 kills per set.
In one of her best matches of the fall, Godfrey notched a season-best 16 kills, while hitting .364 and adding five blocks as the Bobcats defeated Eastern Washington 3-2 on Nov. 1.
Godfrey's .342 attack mark is the fifth best single-season mark in Montana State history.
