MSU Volleyball Drops Match to Bengals in Four

Montana State finished their road trip with a split as they dropped to Idaho State on Saturday, 23-25, 25-22, 26-28, 13-26.
In the match, Rachelle Allen (15) and Sarah Horton (15) combined for 31 kills. Allen also led the team in digs with 18 giving her a double-double on the night. MSU hit a .355 in set two (their lone set win), but hit a low .000 in the fourth and final set of the match.
"We did some very good things for about 2 1/2 sets," head coach Sarah Schaub said. "Idaho State is aggressive and we need to learn to stay focused between sets so we can come out and get points right away. We let them get a little jump on us."
"We need to work on getting on stronger at the beginning of sets. We make it harder on ourselves if we're always fighting from behind," Schaub said. "But the weekend split was a good thing. It was nice to win one of two on the road."
The Cats are now 9-8 on the season and 2-3 in the conference. The win takes the Bengals to 3-3 in the conference race. Haylee thompson-Brock led the Bengal attack with 18 kills.
