Joaquin Espinoza had a strong start to his junior season before the spring schedule was halted. Espinoza was tied for the team lead with 5 singles victories playing primarily at the No. 2 singles slot. His .625 winning percentage among No. 2 singles players in the Big Sky Conference was the second best mark in the league among qualifying athletes. He had earned a victory in singles versus Portland State which helped lead the 'Cats to a conference victory over the Viks. Espinoza also had two doubles wins during the season.
