In Montana State’s highly anticipated matchup against Weber State, Tommy Mellott broke a Big Sky Conference quarterback record with 273 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 32 attempts. His 273 yards ranked second for a single game in MSU history.
Mellott was equally effective in the air, going 15-for-23 with 140 yards and a go-ahead touchdown pass to Derryk Snell late in the first half. He also earned Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts.
