Cats look to build on strong showing at Utah Invitational
BOZEMAN, Mont. (Oct. 15, 2025) – Montana State's fall men's tennis season hits a crescendo this weekend, when the Bobcats play at the ITA Fall Regional Championships at Las Vegas, Nevada.
Players from 16 schools around the region compete in the five-day event that closes Monday, Oct. 20. The competition is held at the UNLV campus, and serves as a qualifier for the ITA Individual Championships. Draws and results for weekend matches are available here.
"I am looking forward to how this week is going to play out. This is a very strong tournament with the best players in our region participating on it. This will be another opportunity for our guys to compete and for us to evaluate where we are in our journey of developing and getting better. I feel good about the work we have put in the last couple of weeks and I can't wait for the first serve to be hit!"
The Bobcats posted a strong weekend at the Utah Invitational (October 3-5). Yassin Elaroussy and Oumar Diallo each won a pair of singles matches, and Andre Stewart added a victory. Diallo and Eddie Biss teamed for a pair of doubles wins.
"Yassin had a really good weekend in Utah," Ceolin said. "He played three tough matches in three days. All three matches went 7-6 in the third set. He was able to pull the win on two of them beating good players from Utah and Utah State."
After this weekend's tournament, the Bobcats host the Bobcat Invitational October 24-26. Fans are encouraged to attend the event, featuring players from around the region, in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
