Dario Ciobotaru picks up MSU's lone singles win
Freshman Dario Ciobotaru earned a three-set win at No. 1 singles, but that was Montana State's only victory of the morning in a 6-1 men's tennis loss at Creighton on Friday.
Playing his second match at the top ladder spot in Max Relic's absence, Ciobotaru battled for a 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 triumph in the final match to be completed. The rest of the day belonged to Creighton, which won four of the other five singles matches in two sets each. Andras Necz dropped a three-set match, 6-1, 5-7, 15-13 in a super tiebreaker.
