BOBCAT PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Defensive- Emma Pence was named the #BigSkyVB Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 1.70 blocks per set as the Bobcats swept Idaho State. The Carson City, Nevada product registered nine block assists against the Bengals on Saturday and added eight on Sunday night. On the season, she leads the Big Sky Conference averaging 1.50 bps. Offensive- Hannah Scott had a big offensive weekend as the Bobcats swept Idaho State. The Hawthorne, Calif., native averaged a team-best 4.40 kills per set, while posting a .287 attack mark. In Montana State's 3-2 win on Saturday, Scott recorded a career-high 25 kills, while hitting .375. She also added 11 digs and two blocks. On Sunday, Scott notched 20 kills, a .217 attack mark, 13 digs and two blocks.
BOBCAT BLURBS: Kira Thomsen posted a pair of double-doubles last weekend against Idaho State. The Parker, Colo., product recorded 14 kills and 14 digs on Saturday, and followed that with 15 kills and 15 digs on Sunday. Thomsen has three double-doubles on the season...libero Alexis Goroski averaged 4.10 digs per set last weekend. On the season, her 3.29 dps ranks eighth in the Big Sky Conference...Goroski's 27 digs in MSU win at Montana on Feb. 14 is the third highest single-match total in the league this winter.

Individually, sophomore Emma Pence leads the league averaging 1.50 blocks per set. That number ranks No. 16 in the country. Redshirt-freshman Jourdain Klein ranks eighth in the Big Sky averaging 1.06 blocks per set, which is 151st in the nation. The Bobcats matched a season-best 12 team blocks in its 3-2 win over Idaho State on Sunday.

For the weekend, she averaged 4.40 kills per set, while notching a .287 attack mark. Scott's best match of the week came on Saturday night with a career-high 25 kills. For the match, she logged a .375 attack mark and added 24 digs, and four blocks. Last season, Scott had a breakout year which culminated in being named to the all-Big Sky First-Team as she averaged 2.66 kills per set, while hitting .230 from the floor. She recorded 17 double-figure kill matches, including a season-best 20 kills in MSU's victory over Sacramento State. Scott also averaged 1.71 digs per set and logged six double-digit dig matches, including a season-high 11 saves on three occasions, the last coming against Sacramento State. Scott recorded a career-high 10 blocks against Northern Colorado at the Big Sky Tournament in 2019. She is currently 135 kills shy of becoming the 16th member of MSU's 1000-kill club.
A LENDING HAND: Former Bozeman High product and Montana Class AA state champion setter Allie Lynch settled into her junior season at Montana State. Lynch is averaging 4.03 assists per set in Montana State's 6-2 offense. Against Northern Arizona on Feb. 6, Lynch dished out a season-high 22 assists. Last weekend, the 5-10 junior averaged 3.50 assists and 1.40 digs per set the help the Bobcats in its sweep of Idaho State. Last fall, she registered ten matches with 45 assists or more, including a season-high 51 assists in MSU's win over Loyola Maryland. Freshman Delaney Shearan has also come up big in MSU's 6-2 system. The Phoenix, Ariz., product in averaging 5.34 assists per contest. She dished out a season and career-high 33 assists in MSU 3-2 win over Idaho States, last Saturday. Additionally, Shearan is averaging 2.19 digs and .25 aces per set. For the two-match series vs. ISU, Shearan averaged 6.20 assists and 2.20 digs per game. She notched a season-high 12 digs against Northern Arizona on Feb. 6.

For the match, she hit .500 (10-0-20) and added six blocks assists.
