BREAKFAST WITH THE BOBCATS: Men's Tennis Team Opens Home Season Friday at 8 am Against Seattle

Free admission, coffee and donuts available for fans when the Cats open their home season Friday morning
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State opens the home portion of its 2020 men's tennis season in unusual fashion on Friday.
With breakfast.
The Bobcats host Seattle at 8 am in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center, treating fans to coffee and donuts (while they last). That coupled with some tennis action, said Bobcat coach Trey Morris, is a great springboard into the weekend. "We invite people to stop by on their way to class or work and hope this is a great start to a Friday," Morris said. "Seattle is traditionally a good program who MSU has had good battles with over the years. It's our home opening match so we want to set the tone that this is a tough place for opponents to play. We know we'll get (Seattle's) best effort, and I know we'll give ours."
The Bobcats enter weekend action with a 1-1 record, having lost to Boise State and beaten Whitman. Every Bobcat earned a singles win in the victory, and lost in the defeat. On Friday, the Bobcats meet a Seattle squad looking for its first win of 2020. The Redhawks lost a pair of matches to Washington, and lost to Boise State and Idaho State.
Montana State's last match, the win against Whitman, was just under two weeks ago. Morris said his team has taken advantage of the time since. "We've used the time to continue to develop and continue to improve, and at the same time working on things each of the guys does well. We want to continue to build and continue to maintain the positives from that first weekend."
After Friday's match, the Bobcats travel to Utah to face the Utes on February 22 before a road trip that takes them to Air Force (February 28) and CSU Pueblo (March 1). Starting with Seattle, that string of four matches leads the Cats directly into Big Sky Conference play.
Admission is free on Friday, and after the 8 am men's match the Bobcat women host Wyoming at 10 am.
