Women’s Tennis Team Back in Action Against Southern Utah on Saturday

The Montana State women’s tennis team will be back in action when it hosts Southern Utah on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
BOZEMAN, Mont. – After a 20-day hiatus, the Montana State women's tennis team will be back in action when it hosts Southern Utah on Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m. in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center. The match had originally been slated for Sunday afternoon.
"We're looking forward to getting back on the court," said MSU head coach Jon Reeves. "The kids are ready to go. So far this season, we've had some ups and some downs. We're working on establishing a consistent level of play over the course of a match. We need to be able to know what to expect and what to bring to play at a certain level."
The Bobcats will be led by sophomore Annie Walker who has posted a 5-8 overall mark, including a 4-5 ledger playing at No. 2 singles. The Las Vegas product has also combined with Sarah Cheverie at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles where the tandem has registered a 6-3 overall mark.
"We've been dealing with some injuries, but we're looking to give it our best effort against Southern Utah," Reeves said. "It all starts with doubles, where we've enjoyed some success this season."
Southern Utah is coming off a 4-3 win over Montana on Friday afternoon in Missoula.
