Cat Volleyball Team Welcomes Alumni

“We love our alumni and talk a lot about what it means to be a Bobcat for life,” Jones said. “It’s important to bring alumni in and let our kids interact with them. We want our current group to know what it takes to leave a legacy in the program.”
A week after winning the Utah State Tournament- its first since the 2012 campaign- the Montana State volleyball team will take the weekend off to host its annual Alumni match Saturday at 12 p.m. in Shroyer Gym.
"This is the third straight season we have taken a weekend off in the non-conference portion of the schedule," said MSU head coach Daniel Jones. "I think it's important to let the kids recover physically (from preseason drills) and to mentally establish a routine in their academics.
"We were also able to get into the practice gym and dive deep into some training," Jones continued. "We've been focusing on our offense and getting that dialed in."
According to Jones, the MSU vs. Alumni match will most likely feature just three sets of action.

Alumni scheduled for Saturday include Cris Miller, Becky (Davis) Pipal, Heather (Dolan) Bergeson, Lisa (McCanlies) Neumann, Kandice (Kelly) Gregorak, Macy (Merrell) Page, Alex Penewell, Taylar (Barney) Halgren, Megan (Zanto) Handl, Meggie (Malyurek) Jackson, Shannon (Kemper) Lundgren and Eli Svisco.
