Bears Sweep Cats

The Bobcats were paced by freshman Hannah Scott with 14 kills and a .353 attack mark. She also added seven digs and four blocks. Junior Natalie Passeck also chipped in on the outside with eight kills and a .269 attack mark.
Montana State got the start it wanted and took Northern Colorado to overtime in the opening set, but wasn't able to close-out the frame and the Bears seized the momentum to sweep the Bobcats 28-26, 25-19, 25-14, Thursday night in Butler-Hancock Pavilion.
Montana State (7-13, 3-8) held a 23-19 advantage late in the opening set and held two set points, but Northern Colorado (12-12, 5-6) battled back and evened the frame at 24-all. The Bears then had two set points of its own, before getting back-to-back kills at 26-all for the win.
MSU jumped out early in the second game with a 7-3 run, but again, UNC responded with a 9-4 run to take a 12-11 advantage and never looked back. The Bears out-hit MSU .395 to .125 in the final set to secure the sweep.
