Former MSU coach Mike Phillips drops decision to former team
Montana State rode the strength of its top of its lineup to a 5-2 win over Northern Colorado on Sunday, vaulting the Bobcats into the Big Sky Tournament.
Niklas Brandes won at No. 1 singles and teamed with Harry James to win at No. 1 doubles, boosting MSU to the win. James also won at No. 4 singles, while Kenny Dodd and Javier Martin Morillas captured a win at No. 3 doubles to clinch the doubles point for the Bobcats. Markus Schleuter (No. 2) and Diego Campos (No. 5) also won singles matches.
