The Montana State volleyball team concluded its spring drills going 9-0 at the MSU Invitational over the weekend.
The Bobcats defeated Rocky Mountain 25-21, 25-18; Carroll College 25-10, 25-13, 25-20; MSU Northern 25-16, 25-18; and Great Falls 25-15, 25-16.
“Saturday was a great culmination of the entire spring training,” said first-year Bobcat head coach Kyle Weindel. “We were playing our best volleyball at the end. We've been reinforcing the importance of sustainability and consistency. This past weekend, we were able to get significant contributions from every player. It was great to see both offense and defense executed at a sustained high level.
“Nothing can make me happier for the program, players and assistant coaches,” Weindel added. “I am very excited to get back in the gym this August.”
The Bobcats are slated to open its 2012 season at the Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville Tournament, August 24-25.
