MSU is currently 6-9 overall and 3-2 in Big Sky Conference play. The top four teams advance to the postseason tournament. The Bobcats sit in fourth place heading into Friday's match, behind Sacramento State (5-0), Montana (4-1) and Northern Arizona (3-1). Idaho State is 3-6 overall and 0-2 in league action.
“We're excited to get back on the court,” said MSU head coach Denise Albrecht. “We didn't have our best effort against Montana on Tuesday and I know our kids are eager to put that match behind them and move forward.”
ISU has been idle since March 25 when it defeated South Dakota 6-1. The Bengals are led by Katharina Marsela, who has posted a 5-4 mark at No. 1 singles.
Montana State has been paced by sophomore Charlotta Hjalmarsson, who has posted a combined 11 victories playing at No. 1 singles and doubles.
