
Bengals Tame Bobcat Spikers in Five

For the second consecutive night the MSU spikers come up short in five-sets
For the second consecutive night, the Montana State volleyball team took a Big Sky Conference opponent to five sets only to come up just short of its first Big Sky Conference victory of the season.
Idaho State's Emily Waldron notched a match-high 25 kills to pace the Bengals to a 25-20, 22-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-10 win over the Bobcats, Saturday night in Shroyer Gym.
Montana State's (2-12, 0-5) Jodeen Rademacher led four Bobcat players in double-figures with 16 kills. Kyla Hendry and Nicole Grypiuk each chipped in 12, while freshman Taylar Barney added ten.
The Bobcats had their best hitting performance of the season with a .255 attack mark. MSU also ended the match out-blocking Idaho State (7-6, 3-3) 11-6. Hendry, a senior from Nokomis, Sask., matched a career-high with nine blocks.
Defensively, three Bobcats hit double-digit digs led by Meghan Albiston with 12 saves. Also in double-figures were Rachelle Allen and Allyson Porter with ten apiece. Senior setter Taylor Faught ended the night with 51 assists.
MSU will host Northern Colorado on Friday in Shroyer Gym.
