Bobcats Head to Pocatello for Stacy Dragila Invite

Cats embark on first road trip of the year
BOZEMAN, Mont. --- The Montana State track & field team traveled south to Pocatello, Idaho, to compete at the one-day Stacy Dragila Invite on Friday. The meet marks the Bobcats' second in as many weeks and their third of the indoor season.
Field events will begin at 12 p.m. with Matt Furdyk, Easton Hatleberg, and Ben Parks opening competition for the Bobcats in the men's weight throw at the ICCU Dome. The women's 60-meter hurdles prelims will kick off the running events at 2:15 p.m. with Tilde Bjerager, Sabine Brueck, Hailey Ells, and Millie Hubbell set to compete for Montana State.

Montana State is one of five schools set to take part in the Stacy Dragila Invite, joining the College of Southern Idaho, Idaho State, Montana State University Billings, and Treasure Valley Community College at the ICCU Dome. The meet offers Montana State its first opportunity to compete at the site of the Big Sky Championships, which will be held in Pocatello from Feb. 26-28.
18 men and 21 women are slated to compete for the Bobcats in Pocatello on Friday. Ethan Anderson, Noah Barbery, Trystin Chapel, Nash Coley, Billy Cunningham, Furdyk, Hatleberg, Talon Holmquist, Jordan Lasher, Chase McGee, Destiny Nkeonye, Nicola Paletti, Parks, Malikye Simpson, Xavier Simpson, Michael Swan, Stryder Todd-Fields, and Preston Wysocki are all expected to compete on the men's side.
For the women, Bjerager, Emma Brensdal, Sydney Brewster, Sabine Brueck, Coey, Hailey Ells, Gandolfi, Garrison, Libby Hansen, Hawkes, Maggie Hillis, Millie Hubbell, Olivia Lewis, Jenavieve Lynch, Sydney Mattfeldt, Tamia Ramos, Brooke Reuter, Tatum Richards, Ave Roberts, Jadyn VanDyken, and Jaeden Wolff are set to compete in Pocatello on Friday.
The Bobcats are coming off a strong weekend in Bozeman, where they hosted the Bobcat Challenge on Jan. 23-24. The Cats tallied four school records, one Big Sky record, 12 event wins, and 11 improvements to the program's all-time top-10 list as Montana State won three of four Big Sky weekly awards for their efforts. Hailey Coey broke her own school records in the long jump and triple jump with respective marks of 6.47 meters/21 feet, 2.75 inches and 12.75m/41-10.00 to earn Big Sky Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Her long jump mark was also a new conference record. The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Tilde Bjerager, Caroline Hawkes, Peyton Garrison, and Giulia Gandolfi shattered the school record with a converted time of 3:36.91 to take home Big Sky Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors, and Sam Ells was named Big Sky Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his winning time of 3:58.01 to win the men's mile in Bozeman. Sydney Brewster also posted a school record of 16.52m/54-2.50 in the shot put to take home the victory on the meet's first day.
The 2025-26 indoor season consists of seven regular-season meets ahead of postseason competition, with the Stacy Dragila Invite marking the third of those meets. Following Friday's meet, Montana State returns home for the Carignan Classic (Feb. 6) before splitting squads between the Don Kirby Elite Invitational and the Husky Classic (Feb. 13-14). Montana State hosts the Big Sky Tuner (Feb. 19) to wrap up the regular season before returning to Pocatello for the Big Sky Indoor Championships (Feb. 26-28). The Bobcats will wrap up indoor competition at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 13-14.
