Bobcats Close Out Home Slate with EWU and Idaho

Montana State closes out its 2025 home schedule when it hosts Eastern Washington and Idaho on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, respectively.
NEXT UP: Montana State closes out its 2025 home schedule when it hosts Eastern Washington and Idaho on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, respectively. The Bobcats face EWU for the second time this season on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. in Shroyer Gym. The Bobcats defeated the Eagles 3-2 in Cheney on Sept. 24 as Joelie Spelts paces MSU with 14 kills and six blocks. Montana and Idaho will meet for the first time this season on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. in Shroyer Gym. MSU has captured 11 straight wins over the Vandals, the last coming in Moscow (3-1) on Nov. 7, 2024. Idaho's last victory in Bozeman (3-1) came on Oct. 11, 2018. Prior to MSU's current 11-match win streak over Idaho, the Vandals had rattled off 23 consecutive victories over the Bobcats, dating back to 1990.
THE MIDDLE: Despite dropping its match to Montana, last Friday night, Montana State's middle blocking duo of Camryn Greenwald and Joelie Spelts continue to play phenomenally in Big Sky Conference action. Greenwald, a 6-2 senior from Woodbury, Minn., is averaging 2.17 kills per set, while hitting an impressive .362 from the field. Greenwald has been in double digit kills in five league matches, including a season-high 14 kills at Northern Arizona. In addition, she had recorded eight Big Sky matches hitting .300 or better. Spelts, a 6-3 junior from Gillette, Wyo., has been equally as productive, averaging 2.33 kills per set, while hitting .332 in conference play. Spelts has also tallied six Big Sky matches in double figure kills, including a season-high 14 kills against Eastern Washington on Sept. 24. She has recorded six matches, hitting .300 or better. The duo has combined for 94 blocks in Big Sky play.
MOVIN' ON UP: Lauren Lindseth moved into second on MSU's all-time career digs chart against Northern Arizona on Oct. 2 in Shroyer Gym. Last weekend against Montana, she totaled 16 digs, becoming just the second Bobcat to surpass the 1,900-dig milestone. Lindseth's career total stands at 1,901 digs. The native of Great Falls also moved into ninth on MSU's all-time service ace chart with 123 aces.

- Senior libero Lauren Lindseth averaged 4.00 digs per set as the Bobcats dropped a 3-1 decision to Montana, last Friday night in Worthington Arena. On the season, Lindseth is averaging 4.71 digs per set, which is first in the Big Sky Conference and ranks 28th in the nation. Lindseth's current total of 424 digs is first in the Big Sky and ranks 53rd in the country. She has 20 double-digit dig matches this season, including 11 with 20 or more saves.
- Senior middle blocker Camryn Greenwald is averaging 1.98 kills per set, while hitting a team-best .365 from the field. Greenwald's .365 attack mark is fifth best in the Big Sky and ranks 68th in the nation. The Woodbury, Minn., product had a career-high 17 kills in MSU's win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Sept. 4. Greenwald has registered eight matches this season, hitting .400 or better this season.
- Junior Joelie Spelts has been MSU's top blocker this season. The Gillette, Wyo., product averages 1.04 blocks per set, which includes a season-best seven blocks as the Bobcats dispatched Idaho State on Oct. 25. Her current 1.04 bps ranks sixth in the Big Sky.
- Montana State freshmen Teagan Jaynes and Elli Tufto returned to the Bobcat starting rotation after missing several matches due to injuries in mid-September. The duo's return made an immediate impact. Jaynes, a setter from Northfield, Minn., is averaging 10.06. assists per set in Big Sky action. She is also averaging .68 kps while hitting .226 overall. In addition, Jaynes has tallied a team-high 27 aces and is averaging 1.62 digs per set. Tufto, an outside hitter from Prior Lake, Minn., is second on the squad averaging 2.28 kills per set, while hitting .165. She has been in double figure kills on seven occasions, including a season-best 16 kills against Santa Clara.
- Sophomore outside hitter Karli Heidemann leads the Bobcats averaging 3.14 kills per set, which is tenth best in the Big Sky Conference this season. the native of Diller, Neb., has been in double digit kills on 16 occasions this fall, which includes matching her career-high of 21 kills against Northern Arizona on Oct. 2. Defensively, she is second on the team averaging 2.25 digs per set. Heidemann has recorded six matches in double figure digs, including a career-high 18 digs at Portland State. In addition, she has tallied 20 service aces.
