Montana State heads to second fall men's tennis tournament
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State heads to the Air Force Academy this weekend for the 2024 Bedford Cup in the Mountains, a 12-team tournament featuring top teams from around the Rocky Mountain west.
Singles and doubles play begins Friday morning at the USAFA, and runs through Sunday morning. Returning sophomore Andre Stewart leads MSU's four-man fall team into action. He is joined by grad transfers Dmitry Bezborodov and Harrison Janes, and junior transfer Nishant Dabas. Dabas finished 3-1 in singles play at the Dar Walters Invitational at Boise State to open the fall season two weeks ago, while Stewart and Bezborodov each split four singles matches. Janes was 1-3.
Janes and Stewart combined to finish 3-1 in doubles matches. Bezborodov and Dabas went 2-2.
In addition to the Bobcats and Air Force Falcons, this weekend's event finishes 10 other programs in the Rocky Mountain West: Boise State, BYU, Denver, Idaho, Montana, Northern Arizona, New Mexico State, UNLV, Utah State, and Weber State. Results will be available at the ITA site here.
