Following the Riverfront Invitational this week, the Bobcats will host two home meets at Worthington Arena on February 9 and February 16 ahead of their final trip to Spokane this season for the conference championships on February 22-24.
Last Friday's double dual Bobcat Challenge in Bozeman turned heads, as the Cats roared to resounding wins over both Montana and Wyoming on the men's and women's sides.
Billings native Jaeden Wolff's school record-breaking performance in the 60 meters (7.43) highlighted what was an explosion of program top-ten marks across all event groups. Wolff also nabbed the No. 2 spot all-time in the women's 200 meters with a time of 24.06.
Sydney Brewster climbed to the No. 3 spot all-time at MSU in the women's shot put with a toss of 50-08.25 in just her third collegiate competition—that mark leads the Big Sky this year.
Jett Grundy, another freshman, put his name at the No. 2 spot all-time in the men's 400 meters, crossing the line in a converted time of 47.04 seconds—another mark that leads the Big Sky this year.
In the jumps, Taylor Brisendine and Hailey Coey moved up the top-ten leaderboard to No. 3 and No. 4, respectfully, in the women's triple jump. For the men, Destiny Nkeoyne won the men's long jump and moved up to No. 5 all-time with a leap of 23-10.
Montana State will not travel the majority of their distance group to Spokane this week, allowing them time to recover from last week's Bobcat Challenge ahead of next week's return to Brick Breeden Fieldhouse for the Bobcat Performance meet.
