The Bobcats swept the doubles action winning all three matches. MSU’s Nos. 1 and 2 tandems each won 6-0 to secure the first point of the contest.
PORTLAND, Ore. – After dropping its first four matches of the season, the Montana State women's tennis team has claimed three of its last four matches, including two consecutive wins following a 4-3 decision over Seattle U on Sunday afternoon at the St. John's Racket Club in Portland.
The Bobcats swept the doubles action winning all three matches. MSU's Nos. 1 and 2 tandems each won 6-0 to secure the first point of the contest.
Seattle U (4-4) tied the match as Hannah Giann captured a three set win over Annie Walker 6-0, 2-6, 6-3. Montana State's (3-5) Laura Mary regained the momentum for the Bobcats with a straight set 6-1, 6-4 victory over Kyra Jung at the No. 2 spot. MSU's Linnea Fristam and Enni Zander followed with victories at Nos. 3 and 4 singles, respectively, to clinch the match for the Bobcats.
Montana State will host Tulsa on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
