Montana State Men's Tennis Team Drops Match to Gonzaga

Cats win two singles matches
BOISE, Idaho – Montana State picked up a pair of singles wins and narrowly dropped the doubles point in a 5-2 men's tennis loss to Gonzaga in Boise on Saturday.
After dropping a three-set match on Friday, Alex Flink picked up a 6-4, 6-7, 10-8 win over Gonzaga's Ruadhan O'Sullivan at the second ladder spot on Saturday. "Alex played well, competed well," said Montana State coach Jared Burnham. Joaquin Espinoza also earned a singles win, capturing a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Vincent Rettke at No. 4 singles.
MSU's top doubles team, Drew Brown and Flink, captured a 6-4 win Saturday, but the Cats fell at the other two doubles spots. "We're improving every time out," Burnham said. "The guys are working hard and getting better, and that's what you want at this time of year."
The Bobcats travel to Missoula next weekend to face Whitman College on Saturday and the Grizzlies Sunday in non-league contests.
