Bobcats Open Western Idaho Swing with Win at Lewis-Clark State

Doubles success sets Cats up for dual win
BOISE, Idaho - Montana State rode a strong doubles performance to its second straight win on Thursday, a 5-2 road victory over Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho.
The Bobcats breezed through three doubles matches to capture the doubles point, then clinched the win when Adrian Torrico earned a hard-fought 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. That followed wins by Alex Flink at No. 1 and Rok Sitar at No. 2. Joaquin Espinoza also earned a victory at No. 5.
"I like the way we competed," said MSU coach Jared Burnham. "Rok and Adrian got pushed but they fought to get wins, and Alex and Joaquin played very well. I liked the way the guys played in doubles and I thought that they got it going in doubles."
Montana State finishes the road trip against Boise State this weekend, with the doubles competition on Saturday at 6 pm and singles play Sunday at 10 am. The Bobcats are now 4-6 on the season.
