Cats look to get back on winning track
The Bobcat men's tennis team returns to Big Sky Conference action this weekend, hosting Southern Utah on Saturday and Northern Arizona Sunday in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
The Cats look to snap a three-match losing streak against the Thunderbirds, which lost 7-0 at Montana on Friday. Rok Sitar has led the Bobcats from the second ladder position. He is 4-4 on the season, 3-1 playing No. 2 singles, and is 3-3 in doubles play when teaming with Alex Flink.
Kellen Bates is 2-6 on the season, but is 2-3 at the No. 1 singles spot. Newcomer Kasper Parlklo carries a 3-5 record into weekend action.
MSU lost a non-league match at Montana last week, and Bobcat coach Jared Burnham looks for continued improvement from his team. "We had a bit of a layoff before last week, and with conference starting again we need to put two good matches together this weekend."
MSU faces SUU on Saturday at 9 am, and hosts NAU Sunday at 10 am.
