Bobcats Drop Pair of Spring Break Men's Tennis Matches in Northwest

MSU falls to regional powers Seattle, Gonzaga
Facing top-flight competition, Montana State dropped a pair of men's tennis matches over spring break. Seattle and Gonzaga each topped the Cats 6-1.
Freshman Alexander Flink paced the Bobcats in the loss at Seattle on March 16. He teamed with Harry James to win a doubles match against Tanner Berkabile and John Stormans, 6-4, then won the only MSU point of the day with a singles win over Stormans at No. 2, 7-6, 7-5. Those were the only sets MSU won on the afternoon.
Sophomore Rok Sitar filled that role for Montana State two days later in Spokane. He and Dylan Harvala led Vicenta Varas 4-3 in doubles play when the match was abandoned because Gonzaga clinched the doubles point. Then he defeated Emilio Moreno 7-5, 6-0 for the only Bobcat point of the match.
The Bobcats fall to 2-10 on the season. MSU returns to action hosting Eastern Washington (April 8, 1 pm) and Northern Colorado (April 9, 1 pm) in important Big Sky matches.
