Grizzlies forge second-place tie in Big Sky
Montana won five of the six singles matches to top Montana State 5-2 in men's tennis Saturday afternoon.
After the Cats captured the doubles point and Andre Napoliatano won at No. 1 singles, Montana won at each of the other singles lines to earn the win. Semien Branzburg (over MSU's Javier Martin-Morillas) and Peter Mimnagh-Fleming (Niklas Brandes) each earned wins by 6-2 and 7-6 scores. Harry James (to Alexander Rudenco) and Dylan Harvala (to Yannick Schmidl) each fell 6-4, 6-3. Kellen Bates of MSU fell to Victor Casadevall 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Montana State finishes in a three-way tie for second place in the Big Sky but enters the league tournament next week as the fourth seed.
