“It was nice to get settled after the trip and get some tennis played,” MSU Head Coach Denise Albrecht said. “We’re looking forward to our match with North Dakota and know it’s another crucial Big Sky Conference match. We’ll need to be ready and focused heading into doubles play from the very start.”
The Montana State women's tennis team began its North Dakota swing with a 7-0 victory over Minnesota State Moorhead in Fargo, Friday afternoon.
Montana State won all three doubles matches and claimed all six singles contests in straight sets against the Dragons. Minnesota State Moorhead, which competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, a NCAA Division II power conference, had its best showing at the top singles spot, but came up short as MSU sophomore Laura Middel recorded a 7-5, 6-2 decision over Andrea Rognlien.
"It was nice to get settled after the trip and get some tennis played," MSU Head Coach Denise Albrecht said. "We're looking forward to our match with North Dakota and know it's another crucial Big Sky Conference match. We'll need to be ready and focused heading into doubles play from the very start."
The Bobcats will travel to Grand Forks on Saturday, March 7 to face league rival North Dakota at 12 p.m. (MST).
