Bobcats Prepped for Cougar Cup

Golfers hit the links for third week in a row
Montana State will face off with host Washington State, Brigham Young, Gonzaga, Idaho, Santa Clara, Seattle and Wyoming. The Bobcats will also compete against Big Sky Conference members Eastern Washington, Montana, Portland State and Sacramento State.
In 2012, the Bobcats carded a combined 948 to finished 13th out of 14 teams. Molly Dorans was the team's highest finisher with 231 (81-77-73). Sophomore Kati Greear is the highest finishing returner who notched 234 (76-80-78) just one year ago.
So far in 2013, Paige Crawford has been the team's leader at both the Grizzly Invitational and the Bronco Fall Classic. She placed fifth in Missoula and 17th just last weekend in Boise.
The Bobcats will roster Crawford, Greear, Janelle Reali, Pamela Calderon Rojas and Lauren Hausauer to score for the Blue and Gold. Haylee Folkvord and Bergen Buck will compete as individuals.
"We head into this tournament with a little more experience both in terms of where we are in the season and from previous years so that's a good step," said head coach Brittany Basye. "The short game has been out big focus as of late and it will continue to be at Palouse Ridge. With our building confidence, I expect to see our games improve, as well."
The Sixth Annual Cougar Cup will be held at WSU's Palouse Ridge, a par-72, 6,200 yard course. The two-day tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. on Monday with two rounds (36 holes) followed by a final round of 18 on Tuesday, starting at 9 a.m.
