Women’s Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

Cats to compete at mix of new and familiar tournaments during upcoming season
BOZEMAN, Mont. --- The Montana State women's golf program released its schedule for the 2026-27 season, head coach Brittany Basye announced on Thursday.
The Bobcats' schedule for the upcoming season features 10 regular-season tournaments – four in the fall and six in the spring – before the Cats compete at the Big Sky Women's Golf Championships to open postseason competition. Montana State's 2026-27 schedule will include seven repeat tournaments from the 2025-26 calendar, including the Yellowstone Intercollegiate in Bozeman, as well as three new tournaments during the spring portion of the season.
"We're incredibly excited about our schedule this season!" Basye said. "We'll return to several outstanding tournaments this fall, including hosting our very own Yellowstone Intercollegiate.
"Our season begins at the University of New Mexico on the Championship Golf Course, where we competed hard last year and look forward to building on that experience. We then return home to Riverside Country Club, where we'll have the opportunity to compete in front of our supporters while showcasing Montana State and extending Bobcat hospitality to the outstanding teams joining us for the Yellowstone Intercollegiate.
"From there, we'll travel to Iowa, where the tournament moves to Davenport Country Club, a new venue for us. We always appreciate Iowa's incredible hospitality and look forward to competing in one of our favorite events of the fall.
"We'll wrap up the season in Tulsa, where another talented field awaits. It's always a great test, and we're excited to return and measure ourselves against some of the nation's top competition.
"The fall season will move quickly, but it will provide our team with incredible opportunities to compete, grow, and continue building on the standard we've established," Basye said. "Every tournament presents a new challenge, and that's exactly what excites us. We look forward to embracing every opportunity this season with grit, unity, and trust. Challenge accepted."
The Bobcats' start to 2026-27 mirrors that of the 2025-26 season, with Montana State opening its season at the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational on Sept. 14-15, followed by the Yellowstone Intercollegiate on Sept. 21-22. The Cats placed fourth at the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational last season, with Eva Heinz leading the way with a 2-under 214 result to tie for second at the UNM Championship Course on the campus of the University of New Mexico. The Cats will look to defend their Yellowstone Intercollegiate title at Riverside Country Club after earning their first team victory since 2002 at last year's iteration of the event. The Cats earned a 15-stroke victory in 2025 with a team score of 16-under 848, while Heinz claimed the individual title at 9-under 207 to cap off Montana State's first tournament in Bozeman since 2012.
The back half of the fall schedule features two more familiar tournaments to lead the Bobcats into the winter break. Montana State will travel to Pleasant Valley, Iowa, for the Diane Thomason Invitational on Sept. 28-29, as it looks to bring home individual medalist honors for the second-straight year. The 2026 iteration of the event will take place at Davenport Country Club while the Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, Iowa, undergoes renovations. Lauren Greeny won the Iowa-hosted tournament in 2025, setting records for low tournament score (5-under 211) and Finkbine Golf Course-low round (64) as the Bobcats placed second as a team. The Route 66 Invitational in Broken Arrow, Okla., rounds out the fall schedule on Oct. 19-20 as the Bobcats compete at the Tulsa-hosted tournament at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.
Following the fall portion of the season, the Cats will take three and a half months off before opening the six-tournament spring season. The spring portion of the season will include three repeat tournaments from last year's schedule as well as three new additions, with Montana State set to host the Bobcat Desert Classic to cap off the regular season.

"We begin the spring at Mountain Classic Match Play at Classic Club, which is always a great way to kick off the season. Match play creates a different competitive atmosphere, with each match played head-to-head against another team, making it a fun way to build team chemistry and prepare for the spring ahead.
"We then compete in back-to-back tournaments hosted by San Diego State and UC Davis, giving us the chance to play two new courses while competing against several teams we don't see every year.
"We'll return to Northern Arizona's tournament at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona before traveling to Maui for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Ka'anapali. Hawaii always hosts a strong field, making it a great test before we head back to Arizona for our own Bobcat Desert Classic and finish the season at the Big Sky Conference Championship.
"Overall, our schedule provides a great mix of familiar events, new courses, and outstanding competition. Every tournament gives us another opportunity to grow, compete, and prepare ourselves for championship season."
Montana State opens the spring portion of the season with Mountain Classic Match Play for the sixth-straight season, traveling to the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif., on Feb. 8-10. The Wyoming-hosted tournament marks the lone match play tournament of the season for the Bobcats, who finished second at the tournament last season after falling to Nevada in a tiebreaker in the championship match. Norah Seidl and Ashleigh Wilson won all three of their matches at the tournament in 2026, with Seidl competing as part of the team lineup and Wilson competing individually.
Montana State continues its spring season with three new tournaments, starting with The Molly Collegiate Invitational at The Heights Golf Club in San Diego, Calif. The San Diego State-hosted tournament will take place on Feb. 15-16, with the Cats set for their first-ever appearance at the tournament. The Bobcats will head north to Sacramento, Calif., the following weekend for their debut at the Causeway Invitational on Feb. 22-23. The tournament will take place at Del Paso Country Club, with UC Davis serving as the host. After two weeks off, the Cats will then travel to Sedona, Ariz., for the Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona on March 12-14. Montana State last competed at the tournament, which is held at Oakcreek Country Club, during the 2021-22 season.

The Cats will travel to Lahaina, Hawaii, to compete at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on March 22-24 before returning to Arizona to host the Bobcat Desert Classic on April 12-14. The Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational will be held at the Royal Ka'anapali Course in 2027, with the Bobcats looking to improve on their eighth-place result last season. The Bobcat Desert Classic will be held at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Ariz., to conclude the regular season. Ashleigh Wilson led the Bobcats in Hawaii last season, tying for 23rd place at 6-over 219, while Heinz placed ninth with a score of 2-over 218 in Arizona as the Bobcats finished second as a team at last year's Bobcat Desert Classic.
Montana State will seek another strong finish at the Big Sky Championship after placing in the top three in three of the past four seasons, opening the postseason at Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West, Ariz., on April 21-23. The Cats finished third at the tournament in 2026 as Norah Seidl brought home the Bobcats' fourth-ever individual medalist honor at the Big Sky Championship, winning the title in a playoff. Montana State will look to take home its third-straight medalist honor at the tournament in 2027, with Maddie Montoya earning the conference title in 2025.
The Bobcats will look to send competitors to the NCAA Regionals for the third time in program history with a strong result at the Big Sky Championship. The 2027 regional tournaments will be held on May 10-12 at six regional sites across the country, with the Big Sky Conference's winning team and medalist earning an automatic berth to compete at a regional site. The 2027 regional sites and hosts include Aiken, S.C. (South Carolina), Dallas, Texas (SMU), Fort Wayne, Ind. (Purdue University Fort Wayne), Franklin, Tenn. (Vanderbilt), Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. (Florida Atlantic), and Stanford, Calif. (Stanford). Seidl (2026) and Montoya (2025) made history as the first two Bobcats in program history to compete in an NCAA regional, appearing in the 2026 Chapel Hill and 2025 Gold Canyon regional tournaments, respectively.
The top five teams and the top individual not on advancing team at each of the six regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., on May 20-26. The final tournament of the season will take place at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, with the University of Texas serving as the host.
The Bobcats seek to build on a record-breaking 2025-26 season that saw Montana State post a school-record four-player stroke average (295.17), earn five All-Big Sky individual honors, collect four Big Sky Golfer of the week awards, and take home three individual victories and one team title. Montana State is set to retain five golfers from last year's roster, including Sailor Graham, Heinz, Lauren Nau, Seidl, and Wilson. The Cats will welcome junior transfers Elvira Flodstrom (Linkoping, Sweden) and Nadia Sanz Ouezzani (Tangier, Morocco) to Bozeman to round out the 2026-27 roster.
