Trio of Golfers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

Greeny, Heinz, and Seidl honored for outstanding athletic and academic accomplishments
BOZEMAN, Mont. --- Montana State golfers Lauren Greeny, Eva Heinz, and Norah Seidl earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Honors for the 2025-26 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the course and in the classroom. All-District honorees must hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have appeared in the team lineup for 75% of an institution's team scoring events or competed at the conference championship tournament during the 2025-26 season. All three Bobcats took home the honor for the first time in their respective careers thanks to their strong academic and athletic performances this season.
A Second-Team All-Big Sky honoree, Greeny posted a team-best 73.43 scoring average in 2025-26, the second-lowest average in program history, while competing in 28 total rounds across 11 events. She posted nine par-or-better rounds across the season and earned medalist honors at Diane Thomason Invitational, where she shot a tournament-record 5-under 211 while adding a Finkbine Golf Course record round of 8-under 64, marking the second-lowest round in Montana State history. She earned her fourth career Big Sky Golfer of the Week award thanks to her performance in Iowa and concluded her season by tying for 10th place at the Big Sky Championship, the third top-10 conference result of her career. A three-time All-Big Sky honoree, Greeny rewrote the record books for the Bobcats, tallying four career wins, seven top-five finishes, three of the five lowest single-season stroke averages and rounds in program history, the school record for low 36-hole score, and three of the 10 lowest 54 hole scores in MSU history. Greeny graduated from Montana State with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology - Health and Fitness this spring with a 3.59 cumulative GPA.
Heinz also earned Second-Team All-Big Sky honors after a strong junior campaign. She posted the seventh-lowest single-season scoring average in program history (74.27) while competing in 30 rounds across 11 events. She carded nine par-or-better rounds in 2025-26 and earned the Bobcats' first medalist honor of the season with an individual victory at the Yellowstone Intercollegiate, earning Big Sky Golfer of the Week for her performance. At the tournament, she posted a school and Big Sky-record low round of 10-under 62 while adding MSU's second-lowest 54-hole score in program history at 9-under 207. Heinz tied for second at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational to open the season and added the third-lowest round in MSU history (6-under 65) at the Bell Bank Pay It Forward Collegiate. Heinz graduated with highest honors in three years from MSU this with a bachelor's degree in Sociology - Criminology. She has a 3.94 cumulative GPA.
Seidl became the second Bobcat in program history to reach an NCAA regional thanks to her Big Sky Championship victory in a one-hole playoff, Montana State's fourth-ever Big Sky individual title. A Second-Team All-Big Sky honoree in 2025-26, she matched Heinz's seventh-lowest single-season scoring average in program history (74.27) and competed in 33 rounds across 12 events. Appearing in the team lineup in 10 of 11 team tournaments, Seidl tallied nine par-or-better rounds and three top-five finishes, moving her to 10th in program history for career top-five results. Alongside her Big Sky Championship victory, she placed third at the Yellowstone Intercollegiate and fourth at the Texas Golf Throwdown, earning Big Sky Golfer of the Week honors for the latter performance. Seidl has a 3.57 cumulative GPA and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Montana State.
