MSU really got rolling after dropping doubles point

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Diego Campos got the ball rolling, and two singles wins later Montana State had control of a men's tennis match it would come from behind to win against Northern Arizona, 5-2, in Bozeman on Saturday.

Campos, the Big Sky's top player at No. 4 singles to this point, posted a solid 6-4, 6-3 win to even the match after NAU had won the doubles point. Niklas Brandes (7-6, 6-3 over Patrick Schimmelbauer) and Markus Schleuter (5-7, 6-3, 6-2 over Dominic Bermudez) each followed with wins, and the Bobcats had captured control.

Montana State raised its record to 6-1 in Big Sky play (10-7 overall) with the victory. Northern Arizona falls to 0-6 in the league, 3-16 overall.

Campos raised his singles record to 12-4 on the season, the third-most wins of any Big Sky player. His 10 victories at No. 2 is also the most in the league, while Schleuter's eight wins is the most among Big Sky players at No. 3 singles.

Montana State hosts Weber State on Sunday at approximately 1:30 pm in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
