Slow start sets the tone for final round of fall play
CSU Fullerton was the overall team champion with 909 (303-301-305). Taylor Yoshitake of Cal Poly took medalist honors after finishing three under with 213 (73-70-70).
Paige Crawford finished as the team's highest finisher for the fourth consecutive time this fall, coming in 65th with 241 (+13). Her lowest score was 77 which came in the second round of play on Saturday. Kati Greear followed up in 68th with 242 (79-81-82), just one stroke behind Crawford.
Freshman Janelle Reali posted the low round for MSU on Sunday with 81 for a three round total of 245 (78-86-81) for an 80th place finish to close out her first season of fall play.
Lauren Hausauer (85-81-88) and Pamela Calderon Rojas (89-84-92) rounded out the Blue & Gold golfers, coming in 102nd and 107th, respectively.
"This wasn't exactly how we hoped to finish out the fall," said head coach Brittany Basye. "We'll use this break over the winter to work hard and really dial in on how we can improve for the spring."
The Bobcats will open the 2014 spring season on Feb. 24 at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
