Women’s Golf Jumps One Spot in Final Day of Cougar Cup

Dorans the top finisher for the Bobcats
Montana State improved one spot from the opening day of Washington State's Cougar Cup to finish 13th overall at the two day tournament in Pullman, WA. (Individual Results) | (Team Results).
The Bobcats finished with a combined score of 948 (321-320-307), after improving each round. The overall team champion for the tournament was California who carded 877 (291-290-296).
Montana State's top competitor was Molly Dorans, who finished 39th with 231 (81-77-73). Dorans improved 14 spots from Monday and had the best round of the day for the Bobcats carding a 73.
Kristen Rue of Washington State, was the individual champion with a score of 212 (71-73-68).
Coming in a tie for 45th was Kati Greear with 234 (76-80-78). Paige Crawford improved ten spots placing in a tie for 52nd, carding 236 (81-79-76). Lauren Hausauer finished tied for 75th with 247 (83-84-80), and in 82nd was Haylee Folkvord with 256 (85-89-82).
“It was a good team effort today,” said head coach Brittany Basye. “I was happy with the final round and am beginning to feel like our short games are coming around”.
MSU will hit the links again on Monday, Oct. 1, at the Rose City Collegiate in Aurora, OR.
