Bobcats Wrap Up Tournament Play from Palm Desert

Dorans and Crawford Strong on Final Day
Montana State Women's Golf team finished 17th in the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. (Final Results)
MSU finished with a cumulative team effort of 955 (327-314-314). Although finishing one shot behind Southern Utah for 16th place, the Bobcats finished in front of Weber State and Eastern Washington.
“Molly Dorans and Paige Crawford played good golf today,” said head coach Brittany Basye. “We are going to work hard this week and get ready for Santa Clara.”
Senior Molly Dorans (77-80-75-232) was the best finisher for the Bobcats to tie for 33rd. Junior Paige Crawford (83-78-74-235) followed and jumped up 18 spots to tie for 41st. Kati Greear (82-78-79-239) finished in a tie for 49th. Pamela Calderon Rojas (85-78-87-250) finished in 93rd, as Lauren Hausauer (86-81-86) closed out the tournament with a 253 for 95th place.
Fresno State took home the tournament title. Kathy Boehm from the College of Charleston placed first in the two-day tournament.
Next week, the Bobcats head back to California for the Santa Clara Colby Invitational in San Jose, Calif., Oct. 22-23.
