Greear highest competitor for MSU at Langdon Farms
Montana State closed out the Rose City Collegiate on Tuesday, finishing in 13th place among 13 teams at Langdon Farms Golf Course in Aurora, Ore. MSU completed the tournament with an overall score of 975 (324-318-333). The Bobcats hoped to improve from a 13th place finish after day one. (Overall Results)
CSU Fullerton won the team championship with a score of 912 (304-305-303). Their third round score of 303 was among the best on the day. A Ram Choi was the medalist, carding a 218 over the two day tournament (72-72-74) and helped the host, Portland State finish in the 8th place spot.
Kati Greear finished highest for the Bobcats with a score of 238 (78-81-79). Her third round score of 79 was Tuesday's best for MSU which helped her end in a tie for 34th. Molly Dorans 245 (82-79-84) put her in a tie for 53rd. Paige Crawford (81-81-84) and Kelly O'Brien (83-77-86) each finished with a score of 246, good for a tie in 57th. Haylee Folkvord carded a 258 (90-82-86) and finished in 71st place.
Head Coach Brittany Basye added, “The greens got the best of us today. We'll be putting plenty this next week before we head to California”.
The Bobcats will be back in action on Oct. 13, at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif.
