MSU is ready to rebound after a tough opening week
Montana State Women's Golf returns to the course on Monday, Sept. 19, when they travel to Pullman, Wash. for the Cougar Cup, hosted by Washington State.
Like the previous week at the Circling Raven Invitational, the two-day tournament will consist of 36 holes on the first day and a final 18 on the second, at Palouse Ridge Golf Club. Both days will begin at 8:30 a.m. (PDT) Palouse Ridge is a 6,239 yard, par 72 course.
“This is a similar course to Circling Raven and everyone has experience at Palouse Ridge coming into this,” said head coach Brittany Basye. “We have our first match under our belt and we're just excited to get back out there, make better decisions and play golf.”
Paige Crawford will play in the first position for MSU after an 18th place finish at Circling Raven. Montana State will also be represented by Leslie McGetrick, Kelly O'Brien, Molly Dorans and Melissa Hulstrand. Katie Michunovich will also participate.
In addition to MSU, the tournament will also feature four other Big Sky Conference programs: Eastern Washington, Montana, Portland State and Sacramento State. Gonzaga, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon State, Stanford, UC-Irvine and Washington will also be in attendance.
