Fletcher Keyes snagged singles and doubles wins on Sunday

MSU clinched a spot in the Big Sky Tournament on Sunday

Montana State's Fletcher Keyes celebrated Senior Day with wins in singles and doubles play, but Northern Arizona escaped with a narrow 4-3 win over the Bobcats in Bozeman on Sunday.

Keyes and fellow senior Pawel Turzanski clinched MSU's only doubles victory with an 8-7 (7-5) victory over Hugo Ramadier and Dominic Bermudez. Keys earned a 6-3, 6-4 win over Pat Schimelbauer in singles competition as well, and finishes the regular season with an 11-8 singles mark.

“I didn't think we played very well in doubles,” said MSU coach Mike Phillips, “but the seniors stormed out in their last home (regular season) match. Pawel and Fletcher got the doubles win, and Fletcher won in singles. Pawel was eventually going to los a singles match, he's been on such a great run.”

Turzanski's 7-5, 6-2 loss to Ramadier set the stage for NAU to grab the win and clinch the third seed in the Big Sky meet, which begins next Saturday in Bozeman. Top-seeded Sacramento State faces MSU, while second-seeded Montana faces NAU.
